3-Cell to 5-Cell Li-ion Battery Protection IC

Product Specifications

The R5432 is a high voltage CMOS-based protection IC for over-charge /discharge of rechargeable three-cell / four-cell / five-cell Lithium-ion / Lithium- polymer battery, further include a short circuit and the protection circuits against the excess discharge current and excess charge current. Each of these ICs is composed of eighteen voltage detectors (fourteen for 3cell protection type, sixteen for 4cell protection type), a reference circuit, a delay circuit, a short detector circuit, an oscillator, a counter and a logic circuit. A more than 6 Cells battery is available by Cascade connection. The R5432 has cell-balance function to solve the unbalance condition of serially connected cells. SSOP-24 package is available.
