Low Supply Current 42V Input System Power Supply with Window-type Watchdog Timer

Product Specifications

The R5115 is a system power supply IC with an ultra-low power window-type watchdog timer (LDO + VD + WDT) that has an input voltage range of 3.5 V to 42 V.

The R5115 offers a low current consumption of 8.5 µA at operation and 0.2 µA at standby. When ECU goes into sleep, the device automatically turns the built-in WDT off to prevent it from sending a reset signal. When ECU goes back to active, the device automatically turns the built-in WDT on to resume the ECU monitoring.
The R5115 is also available with the version that is not equipped with an auto monitoring stop.

The R5115 is equipped with a window-type watchdog timer that is capable of detecting errors not only caused by over-timing but also by short-timing.

R5115 Series for Industrial

This product is a high-reliability semiconductor device for industrial application that has passed both the screening at high temperature and the reliability test with extended hours. Ricoh accommodates requests including the long-time operation and high temperature environment use.

Tjmax 150°C

Unlike the rating of the products for consumer applications at Tjmax = 125°C, the products for industrial applications are rated at high temperature of Tjmax = 150°C. The power dissipation is also rated at high temperature.

Timeout type watchdog timer

There are two types of watchdog timers, the conventional watchdog timer and the window type watchdog timer.
The conventional watchdog timer outputs a reset signal only when a detected pulse period is longer than a normal pulse period. The window type watchdog timer outputs a reset signal when a detected pulse period is either longer or shorter than a normal pulse period.
